The commencement of 2022 International Conference on Intelligent Transportation and Logistics with Big Data (the 10th International Decision Science Summit Forum )

From July 2nd to 3rd, 2022, International Conference on Intelligent Transportation and Logistics with Big Data along with the 10th International Decision Science Summit Forum took place. The event was organized by the Ship and Ocean Economy Management Branch of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, and co-hosted by Harbin Engineering University, the Key Laboratory of Big Data and Business Intelligence Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Heilongjiang Regional Innovation-Driven Development Research Center, and the Heilongjiang Provincial Management Science Society.

During the opening ceremony, GAO Wanxin, Vice President of Harbin Engineering University, and CHI Hong, Chairman of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, and ZHAO Jinlou, Professor and Chairman of the Ship and Ocean Economy Management Committee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics delivered speeches. YIN Hang, Dean of the School of Economics and Management of HEU, presided over the ceremony.

The conference provided a platform for extensive exchange among researchers and professionals engaged in research in the fields of transportation, supply chain logistics, and decision science. It aimed to explore relevant cutting-edge theories, innovative applications, and the opportunities and challenges faced in the era of big data.

The two-day event included 12 expert presentations, a journal forum, and 8 sub-forums attended by distinguished domestic scholars and experts, including Professor LIU Xinbao from Hefei University of Technology, Professor LI Jianping from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor YU Le'an from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Professor XIONG Xiong from Tianjin University, Professor YANG Lixing from Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor GUO Xitong from Harbin Institute of Technology, Wang Yun, Product Director of Government Enterprise Business Department of NavInfo, and SUN Rui, Vice Minister of Data Service Department of Beijing Smart Transportation Development Center as well as renowned international experts such as Professor Kannan Govindan from the University of Southern Denmark, Professor Francisco Saldanha da Gama from the University of Lisbon in Portugal, Professor ZHANG Guoqing from the University of Windsor in Canada, and Professor Witold Pedrycz from the University of Alberta in Canada.

The conference attracted more than 400 online participants from institutions such as Tsinghua University, the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tianjin University, Harbin Institute of Technology, China University of Petroleum (East China), and Harbin Engineering University. Despite being in the virtual realm, participants came together to discuss the latest academic achievements in the field of transportation and logistics in the era of big data.



During the conference, 55 presenters from sub-forums demonstrated their research findings in eight thematic groups, receiving guidance and suggestions from on-site judges and experts. Finally, Professor XU Xiaofeng, Secretary-General of the Ship and Ocean Economy Management Committee of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, delivered the closing speech, marking the successful conclusion of the conference.

Since 2016, International Conference on Intelligent Transportation and Logistics with Big Data along with the 10th International Decision Science Summit Forum has been held in multiple locations, including Qingdao, Xi'an, Jinan, Windsor in Canada, Kunming, and Nanjing, with over 100 participants each year. Each conference invites renowned experts and scholars from the United States, Canada, Singapore, as well as regions in China such as Taiwan and Hong Kong. Based on the Conference theme, industry professionals from different well-known companies such as China National Petroleum Corporation, State Grid Corporation of China, JD.com, Tencent, and Baidu are invited to contribute exciting keynote speeches.

The series of academic reports at this conference showcased the latest achievements in the fields of transportation, logistics, and decision science in the era of big data. These insights provide valuable references for driving the prosperous development of the modern intelligent logistics industry.
