In support of our university's global development strategy and to expand partnerships with world-class institutions, we welcomed MA Qing, Project Director of the International Department at the University of Aberdeen, and WU Junxiao, Project Representative, for a visit and exchange on the morning of March 26. The meeting was attended by Niu Tongli from the International Office, Professor LI Wanhong, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Associate Professor LIU Tiansen, Assistant Dean of the School of Economics and Management, as well as department heads and faculty members.
The meeting began with Associate Professor LIU Tiansen offering a warm welcome to the guests. He provided an overview of the university's history, current initiatives, and future plans for international cooperation. He emphasized the institution's commitment to fostering a platform for global development, aimed at enhancing teaching, research, and talent cultivation through international exchanges and partnerships.
Following this, MA Qing from the University of Aberdeen presented an overview of the university, including both its long- and short-term visiting programs and the development of key disciplines within its business school. WU Junxiao then gave a detailed introduction to the "3+1" undergraduate and postgraduate joint program, encouraging our faculty and students to broaden their international perspectives and explore diverse global development opportunities.
In the final session, Vice Dean LI Wanhong engaged in an in-depth discussion with the guests about specific cooperation opportunities, including joint training programs, inter-university exchanges, faculty visits, and summer internship initiatives. Both MA Qing and WU Junxiao addressed questions from the attendees, and both sides engaged in meaningful dialogue regarding the future direction of collaboration.
As a result of these discussions, both parties gained a deeper understanding of each other's educational models and agreed to explore various cooperative projects in greater detail. The meeting concluded with a commitment to promote these initiatives, ensuring their successful implementation. This collaboration is expected to lay a strong foundation for advancing our university's global development strategy.
