On July 15th, the Entrepreneur Forum, organized by the School of Economics and Management at Harbin Engineering University, was grandly held at the multi-function hall on the fourth floor of the Qihang Activity Center. With the theme “Innovation Drives Future Succes”, more than 200 MBA, EMBA, and other professional degree alumni, current students, and teachers attended the forum. The forum consisted of an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, exchange and sharing sessions, and a closing ceremony, making it a high-quality event for entrepreneurs to share and communicate. On behalf of the university, GENG Jing warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, distinguished guests, and alumni for attending this event. The School of Economics and Management, as one of the earliest secondary schools to offer professional degree graduate education at Harbin Engineering University, has achieved outstanding results. Harbin Engineering University will continue to uphold the core concept of “Innovation Drives Economic Service”, actively cooperate closely with local governments, businesses, and industries, optimize the curriculum system, improve educational quality, and deepen the collaboration between industry, academia, and research. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of establishment of Harbin Engineering University, the School of Economics and Management hosted this Entrepreneur Forum to summarize how professional degree education effectively promotes regional innovation and entrepreneurial success, and explore the key role of professional degree education in serving local economic development, the future development path and innovative growth of professional degree education. With unity and determination, we will outline a blueprint, forge ahead, and strive to make professional degree graduate education even better.
Opening Speech by GUO Feng, Deputy Director of the Alumni Office, Harbin Engineering University
On behalf of the 77 alumni associations of Harbin Engineering University from both domestic and overseas, GUO Feng extended a warm welcome to the returning alumni. He stated that alumni are the staunch defenders of the reputation of the university, and this event witnessed the reunion of many alumni celebrating their alma mater, which was a manifestation of “empathy”. As students who share the same origin at Harbin Engineering University, the alumni cherish each other, help one another, and provide assistance to students facing difficulties. This extends beyond the mere “sharing” of resources; it is also a form of compassionate “sharing”. He believes that the alumni will grow into talents who understand gratitude and know how to give back on their future development paths, leading social progress and creating social value. The empathy and sharing among the alumni have also brought direction and possibilities for many collaborations, which is a form of “win-win”.
HAN Guoyuan, Director of the Professional Degree Center at the School of Economics and Management, hosted the keynote speeches. Various MBA and EMBA alumni entrepreneurs, as well as experts and scholars, were invited to share their management experiences with the alumni.
MIAO Yu, Deputy General Manager of Harbin Electric Power Group Steam Turbine Factory Co., Ltd., delivered a speech titled “Efforts to Build a Market-oriented Operation Mechanism and Forge a New Era of High-Quality Development”. He shared the company’s basic situation, development strategies, and efforts to create a new era of high-quality development as a key national industry.
ZHAO Yinuo, Secretary-General of the Health Industry Association of Heilongjiang Province, gave a speech titled “Opportunities and Challenges for the Current Health Industry”, in which he interpreted the health industry from the perspectives of industry outlook, work achievements, and platform value.
SUN Zhongliang, Executive Vice President of HuaTeng Holding Group Co., Ltd., gave a speech titled “Investment Opportunities in the New Economic Normal”, which analyzed the current economic situation and investment opportunities in light of the company's business.
Wang Hong, General Manager of Harbin Xinspace Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech on “Underwater Filming Techniques for Film and TV Culture”. He introduced the company’s business and new areas of development in the film market from multiple perspectives such as market benefits brought by film and television content, and the impact of movie IPs on cultural tourism projects.
AN Shicai, Vice General Manager of Shandong JIERUI Digital Technology Co., Ltd., gave a speech titled “Digital Twin Empowerment with Data Realism Integration - Digital Twin Factory Leads the Smart Manufacturing Future”, which demonstrated the deep integration of enterprise management informatization, digitization, and intelligence from the development trend of digital twin technology and practical application scenarios of digital twin factories.
NIU Dayong, Associate Professor of the School of Economics and Management at Harbin Engineering University, gave a speech titled “Capturing Opportunities in the Change Era from Intuition to Reason”.
The Exchange and Sharing Session was hosted by LIN Jinfeng, Director of the Professional Degree Center of the School of Economics and Management. The session featured active sharing from various professionals and alumni, including WU Siguang, Director of the Market Management Center at Mader, TIAN Yuru, Director of the Technology Transfer Center at Harbin Engineering University Science Park, SHAO Jingwei, Senior Partner at Heilongjiang Borun Law Firm, Pan Weidong, Deputy Director of the Shulan Economic and Technological Cooperation Center, Wang Jiawei, General Manager of Heilongjiang Endena Agricultural Technology Development Co., Ltd., LIU Yunliang, Director of the New Energy Engineering Department at Harbin Guanghan New Energy Power Co., Ltd., Niu Chao, Regional Director of China Enterprise Cloud Chain (Beijing) Financial Information Service Co., Ltd., SONG Qingbo, Director of Heilongjiang Baoan Law Firm, SUN Xiaodong, General Manager of Heilongjiang Deep-Ha Collaborative Innovation Enterprise Services Co., Ltd., and SUN Yao, Project Manager at Tongfang Wanfang (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. They actively shared their experiences and ideas with the alumni, creating a platform for communication.
The closing ceremony was conducted by HAN Guoyuan, Director of the Professional Degree Center of the School of Economics and Management. HAN expressed his gratitude to the organizing team, guests, and alumni for their support, emphasizing that the successful Entrepreneur Forum was made possible through careful preparation. The forum provided a great platform for alumni to exchange ideas and promote in-depth discussions on relevant issues. In the future, the School of Economics and Management will continue to organize more diverse activities and build a more convenient and efficient platform to support the high-quality development of alumni’s businesses, promote the integration of industry and education, and create a better tomorrow.
