19. The School of Economics and Management Holds the 2023 Faculty Conference and Annual Summary and Commendation Ceremony

On the afternoon of January 5, 2024, the College of Economics and Management hosted the 2023 Faculty Conference and Annual Summary and Commendation Ceremony in the Academic Lecture Hall 202 of Building 31. The event was attended by all college leaders and faculty members and was chaired by Vice Dean WANG Jun.

Secretary of the Party Committee, YU Yunliang; Dean CHEN Heng; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, YANG Ximiao; Vice Deans LI Wanhong, HU Yuzhen, and LIU Tiansen; and Assistant Dean LIU Tiansen each took turns reading and recognizing the outstanding sections, distinguished talents, exceptional Communist Party members, teaching awardees, as well as recipients of scientific research and management awards for 2023. Dean CHEN Heng and Secretary YU Yunliang presented the awards to the outstanding individuals of the year. This ceremony served to strengthen the sense of pride and honor among the faculty, motivating them to contribute further to the college’s development with renewed energy, dedication, and teamwork. Together, they aim to explore new fields of growth, build on existing strengths, and create new advantages for the continued development of the college.

Dean CHEN Heng delivered a comprehensive summary of the college's progress in 2023, emphasizing three key areas: striving for a new outlook, pursuing innovation, and securing future success. His report integrated the college's party-building efforts with academic accomplishments, teaching results, research achievements, student work, and the high-quality development of the talent team. He also addressed key strategic initiatives, including the "14th Five-Year Plan," the new phase of "Double First Class" construction, and six action plans.

He detailed the objectives and tasks outlined in the three-year action plan for disciplines and outlined key priorities for 2024, setting clear directions for future work while raising expectations for the continued advancement of the college.

Thanks to the collective efforts of all faculty and staff, the conference successfully concluded its agenda, leaving a warm and positive atmosphere.
