On April 3, the Heilongjiang Regional Round of the 11th National College Student Energy Economics Innovation Competition concluded at the School of Economics and Management, Harbin Engineering University. The event was organized by the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education. YANG Ximiao, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary General of the Provincial Competition Office, delivered the opening speech, with the ceremony moderated by WU Haoge, Secretary of the Youth League Committee.

Student teams presented research on current and emerging topics in energy economics, demonstrating strong theoretical knowledge, teamwork, and innovation. Topics ranged from regional green development strategies to digital finance in urban China and global energy market dynamics—highlighting both academic engagement and real-world relevance. Judges assessed the submissions based on academic merit, innovation, and practical applicability, offering detailed evaluations and professional feedback.

This marks the first time the regional round has been held in Heilongjiang. The event drew 124 teams and over 360 students from 12 universities. A total of 43 awards were given, including 26 to undergraduate teams and 17 to graduate teams.

The School aims to leverage this competition to further university-industry collaboration and establish a leading disciplinary competition brand in Northeast China.
