On March 24, 2025, the School hosted a special online lecture titled “The Spirit of Nezha and the Journey of Young Researchers: Insights from Film, Poetry, and Real Life,” delivered by GUO Yue, Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the DBA Program at the School of Business, Southern University of Science and Technology. The session was moderated by Associate Professor ZENG Nengmin, Deputy Director of the Key Lab of Big Data and Business Intelligence Technology under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Drawing from the popular animated film Ne Zha, Dr. GUO explored the challenges faced by early-career researchers, offering compelling reflections on perseverance, proactivity, and resilience in academic life.

Blending narrative elements from film, history, and scholarly experience, Dr. GUO’s talk offered meaningful inspiration. The lecture concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, during which faculty and students shared their academic challenges and received valuable advice.
