To promote industry-university-research cooperation, YU Yunliang, Party Secretary of the School of Economics and Management, led a delegation to Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for research on March 5. HU Yuzhen, Vice Dean of the School; GAO Luan, Assistant to the Dean; TANG Shulin, Deputy Director of the Management Engineering Department; TENG Eryue, Deputy Director of the Business Administration Department; and WU Haoge, Secretary of the Youth League Committee participated in the research.

MA Xiaowei, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Office of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., warmly welcomed the delegation and highly praised the School’s scientific research strength and talent training quality. He introduced the company’s development history and technological breakthroughs in large cruise ship construction. He noted that the shipbuilding industry is undergoing transformation and urgently needs digital and compound talents, and expressed hope for deeper cooperation.

YU Yunliang introduced the School’s development, scientific research strengths, and talent training model. He stated that Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., as a leading enterprise in China’s shipbuilding industry, has made outstanding achievements in high-end ship manufacturing, especially in large cruise ship engineering. He stated that both sides could strengthen cooperation in Party building, key technology research, student internships, and joint talent training.

After the symposium, both sides signed a Party building co-construction agreement.

The delegation also visited the domestically built large cruise ship “Adora Flora City” under construction.
