School of Economics and Management Holds 2026 Spring Semester All-Faculty Meeting

To implement the spirit of the university’s spring semester work conference, the School held the 2026 spring semester all-faculty meeting on March 11. YU Yunliang, Party Secretary of the School presided over the meeting and conveyed the university’s work conference spirit. CHEN Heng introduced the School’s “15th Five-Year Plan”. All leadership team members and faculty attended.

YU Yunliang conveyed the spirit of the university’s spring semester work conference, emphasizing that it is necessary to deeply grasp the general trend of the times, fully recognize that the university is in a strategic opportunity period of the “Golden Decade”, strengthen strategic confidence, and take the initiative to act as a striver. It is essential to coordinate the promotion of major tasks such as the start of the “15th Five-Year Plan” and inspection and rectification, deepen reform around “six focuses and six strengthenings”, and strive to win the “three major battles” of talent evaluation reform, doubling of international school-running, and two-way empowerment of alumni.

CHEN Heng delivered a report titled “Anchoring the ‘15th Five-Year Plan’ , Deepening Reform and Innovation, and Focusing on High-Quality Development”. He emphasized that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the School adhered to the in-depth integration of Party building leadership and career development, and all undertakings presented a good momentum of vigorous development. 2026 is the year of the start of the “15th Five-Year Plan”. Standing at a new historical starting point, we will adhere to the development ideas of “Party building leadership, cultural innovation, forward-looking layout, leading the future, demand-oriented, characteristic first, strengthening the foundation, focusing on the frontier, competitive cooperation, team collaboration, gathering resources, integration and penetration”, and strive to make the Management Science and Engineering discipline rank among the national A-class disciplines and enter the top 12% in the country in the Soft Science ranking by the end of the “15th Five-Year Plan”. To this end, we have systematically formulated four major action plans covering innovative integrated scientific research mechanism, innovative integrated talent training model, innovative integrated faculty team construction model and innovative integrated social service model, which are refined into 17 key work tasks. At the same time, to effectively cohere talent resources, gather high-quality international resources and activate the momentum of alumni resources, we will plan the layout of emerging interdisciplinary disciplines facing future industries and adopt four innovative development measures. Through all-round and in-depth interdisciplinary integration and reform and innovation, we will comprehensively optimize the discipline ecology, turn the “strategic vision” of the discipline into “actual results” of development, and make important arrangements for the sixth round of post appointment with classified policies and goal orientation, striving to promote the high-quality development of the School and forge ahead towards the goal of building a distinctive and first-class School of Economics and Management in China.
